Statement regarding events of March 16
Dear FSU students, faculty and staff,
As many of you are aware, yesterday Atlanta experienced the tragic murder of 8 members of its community. We send our heartfelt condolences to those impacted, their family members and the entire community.
As a nation we have witnessed an alarmingly increased number of incidents targeting Asians, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders. Florida State University stands in condemnation of all acts of xenophobia, nativism and racism and recognize that such assaults negatively impact us all. Advancing equity and inclusion for people from all walks of life is critical to ensuring the safety and security of everyone.
Reports of acts of discrimination or harassment can be submitted to REPORT.FSU.EDU. Campus resources are available for faculty and staff through the Employee Assistance Program and for students through the University Counseling Center.
